Honestly that's a pretty good idea and also let them know that the weakness has been fixed but not tell them what it was except those close to him

Has the feel of a frame job to me. A Stahlrim dagger is something that should all be accounted for among the public. The only place it could have come from is Owen. Fix the gaps in the protections, and then send a missive to the lords of the North letting them know of the theft and attempted sabotage. Good chapter.
