In an effort to explore the kinds of things I want to write more, I have been doing work on Dogmen again. Despite me wanting to make it my next major project, I've still hesitated on writing for this setting for a number of reasons, the primary of which is that I was still trying to shoehorn in Saying Something with the story, rather than just telling an interesting story. While some of my writing for the last decade has been driven in part by collecting the courage to touch topics I'd previously felt were off-limits (sometimes by way of airing grievances) it started accumulating as commentary more than storytelling. So, I've needed to reapproach it, and just tell a story, rather than the story.
Publishing
Gre7g and I are currently working on editing for Tales of Hayven Celestia 2. This is going to take a while. I'll keep you updated but I don't expect this to be done until next year.
