I know I was referencing it in the back of my head, though my rendition has a lot less to do with PS's version than I thought, now that I looked it up again. It definitely took some inspiration from LotR, as I was having Heavy Spoilers' breakdown of the trilogy running in the background for the last two days- hence also the title.

Alright everyone. I haven't seen a major exodus from you guys yet, so I figure those of you sticking around know I'm an inconsistent poster, but I recognize things have been kinda bad for these last ... weeks? Feels like it's been a month, and it kinda has.
I'm suspending billing again next month. I remember there were some counters to that decision last time, but the circumstances were different back then. Regardless, I'd be equally uncomfortable getting paid for work I'm ostensibly not doing at the moment, and here's why;
I took on some off-site work that I can't talk about for contract reasons, and it's been eating a lot of my time. This is not a bad thing in and of itself, as it's been instrumental in providing financial security for a good bit into the future, but it also means that I've been heavily drained at the end of the day and finding energy to do anything really has been difficult.
I have very little inspiration to do anything other than what's immediately infront of me, which is either contract related, or an immediate patreon reward thing, and the fact this sketch suggestion only came in today, when the next prompt post is tomorrow, should tell you how dire that situation is. I mean ffs, I still haven't finished last month's FTI, despite the fact it's only a few strokes of paint away from completion.
Both my therapists (massage- and psycho-) have told me that there's something different about me this last week, but while they both said that whatever change it is, they feel it's positive, the fact neither of them or I myself can point to what it is has me a little worried.
So I've decided to allow myself some room to breathe, pause billing for next month, and extend the time for my obligations into that period, so I don't feel as pressured to get stuff done, hoping to regain some of my drive and energy in doing so.
Having said that, there's a couple' more things going on in my head that I'll likely discuss in a future post, but for the time being, everybody please take care of yourselves and enjoy whatever art I do manage to put out.
