When it just wont work
🕑 Added 2023-02-05 07:01:26 +0000 UTCI don't know if I'm ust uninspired or if something else is conspiring against my creativity on this one, but this one just doesn't want to coem together at all.
I figured it might be interesting to see what doesn't make the cut when I start in on something, so here you go :3

Yeah, I know how that is. Keeping the momentum going is quite hard for me too in creative endeavors, be it writing or painting minis. I went through a couple of amusing emotions right now. Me being me, my first reaction was "You should suggest a collab! If you both run out of steam easily, it all evens out." But then I thought "Naw, don't force yourself on people. And besides, he's iPoke. You're a nobody. He can probably write much better than you anyway." Followed by "And even worse, what if he agrees?!?!!? D:" Looking back, it was kind of amusing to go through ;)

One of the reasons I have not done collabs in a long time. I usually lose steam very quickly for various reasons, so I try not to involve anyone directly in that unfortunate process if I can XD

Ah. I think I understand. When I was doing a collaboration a couple of months ago I was suddenly a lot less happy with my writing :P

As I said above, the problem is less that these aren't viable as pictures at all and more that none of them had that special something I was looking for, which many artists will tell you is an all too common thing XD

Might be the artists prerogative to self-critique there. Honestly, I'd argue the lot of them could probably be made into something appealing, it's just that none of them struck the vibe I was looking for. Maybe they'll get picked up at some other point in time.

It is interesting to see. Of course, us non-artists can only go "But those look great!" :)

I personally don't really see anything wrong with these, and, i am immensely interested in a sort of behind the scenes, "what doesn't make the cut". Love to see concepts and such, evolution of a scene if you will.
