Ye Olde Sketches And Doodles
🕑 Added 2022-08-31 17:03:45 +0000 UTCSo there'll be a couple' posts today, both for organizations' sake, and because some of them are in separate tiers.
First what we have here is one digital skecth from EF26 and a bunch of pictures of my sketchbook with various topics covered.
The digital sketch was my attempt at drawing a very specific human archetype, with a wide variety of success. It's not that humans themselves are hard to draw anymore these days, but sequential art demands the same human be drawn many times over from different angles and a lot of folks will make that look a lot simpler than it is X3 take it as comic drawing practice for ARC, if you will.
Next is another bit of comic practice, this time asset creation. While plenty of you guys have praised me for my armor designs, I rarely show off just how much trial and error goes into creating them and here's a good example of some of that. I'm having a hard time creating a suit that merges the theme I want with the right level of protection. We'll see if I can make that marriage happen X3
Next, some random doodle stuff. I was rather uninspired doing these. Two attempts at an ATV, again for ARC and some random character sketches.
More randomness, this time a design for a small hanging camping cooker and some more random character design, though trying to do draw a deer without actual reference is only marginally successful <w<
Then we have some random si'itian stuff. I tried to do some fancy dress shenanigans, but none of the lines really sat anywhere, though I did end up coming up with a nice crown design, if I may say so myself :3
The next two pages were the preliminary doodles for my Quokka girl, which you've already been introduced to quite intimately at this point :b nothing much special about these, except that these didn't have her pouch tiddies included yet, visually or conceptually.
And lastly we have a doodle of Taylor Tomlinson as the raccoon in a trashbag she says she is. It's a conglomeration of one of her stand up shows I had watched with the mate at the time. Should probably do a pretty version of that and send it to her Xb

Thanks plenty for the praise =^w^= you do have to take specific anatomy into account when doing this kind of stuff after all ;3 And yes, I was sketching to see if I could approximate what I want my armor paint pattern to look like - turns out, it works really well!

Your armor designs really are praise-worthy! As at those ATVs :) Also, that's some real fancy si'itian headwear there. Interesting how you designed it around those massive ears. Finally, I saw that Eldar tank! ;)
