What gives?

First up, a silly doodle of Ayn lamenting the proportional differences between herself and some of the other attendees of GalCon 2024 (because that's how long I expect this thing to take me to do, at least). Mind you, I'm sure she doesn't actually resent that in any way. Bigger people means there's more of them to love after all - in all the ways she knows, I'm sure :b
Next we have my first doodles drafts for Royal Escort. As we progress, I might share the very first draft from way back in the day for compare and contrast purposes, but there have been some structural alterations already.
The establishing shots on the first page are a little more extensive and I'm altering some of the angles for ease of production. Stuff like this is seriously making me consider learning to use Sketchup to aid with construction and perspective, but it also feels like it would take me roughly the same amount of time, unless I just paste it in the background without adapting it stylistically - which I have seen plenty of people do, mind you.
Unfortunately this is likely going to be all the progress to it this month. The why's and consequences are up next ...

Right, so with this month having been what it was (and we still have a week to go TTwTT) I didn't really have a whole lot of time to sit down and draw anything significant. I'd already said I'm going to suspend voting this month because of this on the previous post, but I'm also moving all the other alterations and new things I want to try on the platform into next month to avoid cutting corners.
Given this lack of content, I'm also considering suspending billing for October. I feel I haven't provided what I'm paid for, especially those of you in the T3 category are getting no benefits for your extra money this month, so I kinda feel putting out a "free" month is the least I can do. Let me know what you think in the comments, as always.
Concerning uploads of voted comic projects - I'm currently thinking both draft and definition sketch pages will be made available to all patrons so there's related content for all tiers and also a bit of a teaser. Any further levels of render and worded versions will be posted for T2 and up when they become available.
I'm not 100% on it yet, but finished pages might actually become early access patreon exclusives (as in, patrons get to see them ahead of time vs. the public). I've been fighting myself about taking that step for months and I've explained my reasoning for this before, but since just about everyone I've talked to told me "do it, faggot" it's likely time I face the facts and get with the program.

Now, as I mentioned further up, September hasn't been very kind. The impromptu birthday party the mate put together was a much needed pick-me-up in a month that otherwise has been kicking us while we were down, but up until wednesday afternoon, my prospects for October did not look good.
Don't get me wrong, we are finally putting in the last cupboard to that kitchen today, but it has been such a pain. It's been a huge stressor between me and the mate, with lack of sleep and time. Along with her switching jobs, us having to deal with some surprise bills and a couple' other situations compounding together, September has been hell. But there is light on the horizon.
The weekend should see us complete the kitchen and get the flat cleaned up. It better, seeing as Kalahari is coming to visit us at the end of the month and I'd rather he sleep on the couch than an assortment of boxed kitchen utensils, though I'm told foxes are low maintenance, so maybe he wont mind :b~
Anyway. If there is any more progress or anything else to share, I'll be sure to upload it this side of the month swap.

XD I almost expected you to get enthusiastic about the kitchen, given what I know about you. I don't know whether I specifically will be doing a lot of baking in it, as I'm mostly banned from the kitchen, except for cleaning - but who knows ...

Egh, it is what it is. That's what they say, right? I think X3 Thanks! I do like how they turned out. I just wish I'd gotten more of them done. I figure so too. It's just the done thing at this point.

Glad to hear the kitchen is done, hope you do a lot of baking! Seriously though, i adore baking, i love experimenting with all kinds of things in the kitchen. Needs to get an experimental kitchen, yes that's what it's called. You take two different doughs and you spin them in opposite directions in the LargeHydronCollider and BAM!!! You get carrot bread loafs that is perfectly cut AND toasted at the same time, toasted at the speed of heat and then also buttered properly with one of three variables on, it's either cheese, ham, or cheeseham!

I'll personally pay for a month you don't do anything. Also "I'm not 100% on it yet, but... patrons get to see them ahead of time vs. the public." Become 100% on it. Take care of whatever you have to, including cabinets~

Sorry to hear that you had a rough month :( The sketches look real good though! I think posting the pages on patreon first would be fine. Lots of people are doing that and it seems to be more or less what is expected.

I like the bored expression in the middle of the third pic. Hope you and Kalahari have a great time together! I hope October looks much better for you, especially with all the headaches you’ve had thus far.
