The search continues ...
🕑 Added 2023-08-10 18:21:37 +0000 UTCSo yesterday's exploratory idea was rejected, or at least it didn't quite hit the mark they were going for. The penis probably stays, but the overall aesthetic needed adjustment, so I did some more concepts.
d, e, h and j are to be considered in the closer selection for tomorrow. Honestly, very much not my favorite choices, but that's okay. They're only one-of's anyway, and whatever gets reject I might be able to recycle into something useful down the line.
I'll continue on those when I return from the dentist tomorrow. Updates when available.

To each his own. It's amusing how different my personal aesthetic and that of the commissioner go apart from this, because he basically picked the exact opposites of what I would have taken, but in the end it's not up to me X3

No, it really couldn't X3 There's a lot of flexibility to have with horns, if you're willing to lean out the window a bit. Not that there isn't enough inspiration to be had in nature.

Yeah, we'll work it out. To a degree, yes. Like, when you just need to design something it's not so much an issue, because you don't necessarily have to be involved with it beyond that. But when you have to continue working on or with the thing that you know doesn't look good it gets ... tiresome =w= I guess some folks would argue it can also reflect badly on you if you put out something that doesn't live up to a standard, but that's less of a concern of mine. In this particular case I'm just not a fan of the visual aesthetic that seems to be favored.

Aw, that's a shame. But you'll find the right one eventually. Is it difficult to work something when the commissioner wants something you don't think looks good?
