Oh nice! Glad to see you getting around to Steins;Gate. I'm one of the translators who brought over the game the anime is based on into English, I'll be very keen to see your thoughts as I've often enjoyed your series analysis in the past. As far as the OP and ED go, they do not really contain any spoilers. It's largely abstract symbolism in the ED and generic panning imagery of the cast in the OP. As someone deeply familiar with the source material I would consider it completely safe to watch. Glad to hear your brother is in a better state as well. Wishing you the best!

Imo, there's as many spoilers on the box art for the Blu ray as there are in the OP. Beyond seeing what the characters look like, and suggestions as to what the core themes of the anime are, I don't think there's really much to worry about when it comes to the OP

Personaly I never watch Ops and Eds before I completely watched the show/season. I would say there are kind of spoilers but ofc i cant specify them. Better watch it after your halfway threw the show.

What you should know... maybe for dicsussion's sake it's useful to know that Stein;Gate is an adaptation of a visual novel, not manga or anything. VN's usually have "roots" and choices that basically alters plot, also, SG VN considered to be relatively long in playtime.

Just watched the op and ed again. It is def on of the animes op and endings that have almost zero spoilers in it. The thing is it shows characters but you‘ve already looked at the cover of the blu ray and it has the exact same amount of spoilers on it. Decide for yourself Im🫡

The only things in the OP that could be considered spoilery are the fact that it shows the designs of most of the prominent characters. (as almost all opening sequences do) and it has lots of imagery that relate to the themes of the series that you could feasibly use to inform speculation. Nothing beyond what most know going in (genre/tone)

Hmm... Hard to say if the OP is considered spoiler free. I would say it doesn't really have spoilers, but others might say its full of spoilers. Regardless, the opening song is amazing! You should also know, that the steins;gate anime was adapted from the Visual Novel of the same name.
