[POLL] August 2024 Small Plugin
🕑 Added 2024-07-16 23:58:11 +0000 UTCSmall plugins are plugins that are not expected to require more than 1 months worth of work. Please note that since development can have unexpected surprises, there is no guarantee that this plugin will be completed in one month or less, however I have never yet missed a deadline and have been running this poll for a few years now.
For August 2024's small plugin, would you like to see...
Steal - A skill that, when used in battle, would allow your actors to steal items from an enemy. You could set up configuration for each enemy including which items/weapons/armors can be stolen from them, how many times you can steal from an enemy, and more. I would like to have it work with [CGMZ] Currency System as well for stealing custom currencies.
Patcher - A more advanced plugin that would require you to be knowledgeable about the save data you want to patch. This would allow you to patch save file data after load, for things like switches, variables, etc. It would keep track of what version of the game the save file is, and if not the current version, follow instructions from the plugin parameters for what to all change when the save file is loaded to patch the game data.
Dice System - A very simple dice rolling system. It would call a dice roll scene, then allow the player to roll a dice or back out of the scene without rolling. A short animation would play, and the dice would display a random number at the end of the roll. Modifiers could exist to add or subtract from the number shown on the dice. The final amount would then be stored in a variable for your use in eventing.
Class Upgrade - Similar to Actor and Enemy Upgrade plugins, but for classes. Add an icon to classes, stat weights for the class, custom exp curve, and custom stat curves (or hard code each stat amount for each level individually).
Quality of Life - A plugin aimed at making the game more friendly to the player. It would be an assortment of options such as always allowing battle escapes to succeed, full heal on level up or battle end, hit/evade rate increasing if the player is low hp, etc.
World Map - A plugin aimed at making a world map scene, where the player could view the world map as a sprite (sprite made by you) to see where they are located on the world map, and any important events that are currently active as icons over the map. In future updates, this may turn into more of a general map scene that could handle a map system for individual dungeons, towns, or other areas of the game as well. Note that this would NOT be a minimap and would be separate from the map scene.
Message Log - Store text shown via the Show Text event command and show it later in a message log. There would also be a text code that disables saving text for later display in the message log, and a plugin command for manually adding text to the log even if it was not shown via an event command. You would be able to configure how far back the log goes.
At 11:59PM CDT July 31 (Wednesday), this poll will close and I will start working on the plugin with the most votes. In case of a tie, I will choose one of the plugins that received the most votes.
