[CGMZ] New Game Plus
🕑 Added 2024-02-20 02:26:56 +0000 UTC
Hi all, today we have a new small plugin: [CGMZ] New Game Plus!
This plugin allows you to mark a save file as a New Game Plus. This will show up on the file select screen, with currently the default file select screen supported but an update for [CGMZ] Save File should be ready later this week to add it there as well.
When a new game plus is started, the plugin will reset certain switches to false and certain variables to 0 set up via the plugin parameters. You can also choose which actors to reinitialize, which items/weapons/armors to remove from the inventory, if the party should be reset to the database default, and if actors should be recovered all.
You start a new game via plugin command, and you can start a new game plus as many times as you want. The plugin will keep track of how many times the player has started a new game plus, so you could event different things for different subsequent playthroughs.
This plugin does have a few improvements planned for the future, which include:
1) More customization options for the New Game Plus text (offset, etc)
2) Additional new game plus data manipulations if any requested
3) Reset ranges for switch/variable/item/weapon/armor/actor
4) New Game Plus scene for manually choosing to start a new game plus
If you have any suggestions for more improvements, please leave them in the comments below or in the #suggestions channel of the Casper Gaming Discord.
Happy RPG Making!
