POLL - November's Small Plugin
🕑 Added 2023-10-19 00:31:58 +0000 UTCSmall plugins are plugins that are not expected to require more than 1 months worth of work. Please note that since development can have unexpected surprises, there is no guarantee that this plugin will be completed in one month or less, just that in 99% of cases it should be completed in the given time frame.
For November's small plugin, would you like to see...
FaceSet Generator - This would be similar to my IconSet Generator. It would take individual face files (either 1 face or 1 face on an empty sheet of 8) and combine them into a sheet full of 8 faces each. This would be a developer tool meant to help you get your face sets into a full sheet, as they may have been downloaded or generated individually.
Controls Window - This plugin would add a window to every scene that tells the user what controls they can press to do things in the scene. For example, you might have Z: OK X: Cancel in the window. It would be configurable for each scene, allowing you to change the text for each scene and the placement of the window for each scene.
Skip Title - This plugin would allow you to skip the title screen and go straight to a new game, where a title sequence could be evented. It would also provide the option to load the most recently used save file.
Repel and Lure - Add an effect to an item that can raise or lower the frequency of encounters, such as an item that halves or removes encounters for 100 steps. I would also look to allow a completely custom encounter rate (0-100%) instead of the default encounter half (50%)/none (0%) for equipment.
Event Names - Plugin that would allow you to display text above events on the map scene, such as a label or name for the event. There would be options to have event names only appear when within a certain distance of the player.
Rumble - Plugin aimed at providing support for game pad rumble functionalities. It would mostly be plugin commands that allow you to cause the controller to rumble for a duration of your choosing. It would also provide options for automatically rumbling the controller during certain actions, such as when taking damage in battle.
Window Cursor - Add a window cursor to selectable and command windows. It would be an image you can choose to use as a cursor, with an x/y offset, and a few other configurable options. I would also look into adding animations for the cursor and a mirror option to show the cursor on both sides of the selectable option, but most likely these would be future alpha updates.
At 11:59PM CDT October 31st (Tuesday), this poll will close and I will start working on the plugin with the most votes. In case of a tie, I will choose one of the plugins that received the most votes.
