Working on a New T-Shirt Design
🕑 Added 2025-10-22 16:16:51 +0000 UTCI've been iterating a new t-shirt design based off the Zaku-daruma print I made for our SD season - the new one is inspired by samurai helmets and the Musha Gundam.
The design will eventually incorporate some calligraphy and, also inspired by SD Gundam, we've picked some ateji (kanji chosen for their reading/sound) for "podcast" / ポッドキャスト:
Po / ポッ： 点 spot, point, mark, speck, decimal point
d / ど： 呶 noisy
ca / キャ： 踋 the foot or feet, cast of a play
s / ス： 芻 grass cutting, hay
t / ト： 徒 on foot, junior, emptiness, vanity, futility, uselessness, ephemeral thing, gang, set, party, people

Years ago, a friend made my wife a fabric and felt Totoro that lives on our dresser. At some point, one of its felted pupils fell off and was lost... Which turned it into a neat daruma! 😋

This is awesome! I will definitely grab a t shirt or hoodie is that is an option when they drop. I prefer stickers for merch. I like to put them on my hobby mat or make them into magnets for my car or fridge!

I'm hoping to finish the design in the next couple weeks, but can't say for certain when they'll be available for purchase. In the past, we've made our original designs available on Threadless (https://gundampodcast.threadless.com), so it will probably be there. Regardless, we'll be sure to post about how to get them once they're ready!
