two more new songs I'm featured on from Magic Circuit!
🕑 Added 2018-08-25 20:50:45 +0000 UTC These tracks were also mixed by Luke who helped with the previous songs I've posted here!The first song is Nectar, which if you've been following Magic Circuit you've probably heard the original version I shared from their YT channel which just has hatsune miku vocals, but Thomas asked if I'd record vocals for it and I was like YES because I love the song. I'm not sure if this is the final version or not, but it sounds so cool already.
The second song is "u wanna fall in love?!" which I actually helped write with Thomas and it's my second time making serious lyrics for an actual song! I suggested that he should use some kind of vocal synth or vocoder effect on the vocals since it seemed to fit the theme of the song, and the general sound of it that kind of reminds me of driving through a futuristic city at night. I also recorded some ad-lib-y singing parts that you can hear towards the end, and the take he used was one where I messed up and started laughing at myself (deepest lore)
We're approaching the release of the finished EP very soon and Early-Mid September seems like when it'll finally be ready!! There may be one more track I have to record for, but I think Thomas is still trying to write lyrics for it. Most of the other songs on the album have already been mixed/mastered and are almost ready, though. That means there could be 8 original songs with my voice in them! I'm so excited for everyone to hear. I plan to do a livestream listening party on the release date where maybe we could talk about each track and what went into the creation of them all. I'm kinda sad that it's almost done but I worked extremely hard on all my vocals and I feel like it's something I can be proud of. Once it's released I might upload some of my raw vocals to patreon in case anyone wants to use them for a remix, or if you're just curious!
