Monster Cave [23x50]
🕑 Added 2023-07-31 16:47:11 +0000 UTCExcerpt from Aaron's diary:
Day seven below the ground:
We crossed the damp area heavy with air filled with sweet, unnaturally flowery scents. It depleted our energy levels, and we questioned our motives for adventuring. We reached the opening, and it appeared dry and lighter to breathe.
Day eight below the ground:
Note to self - question the authenticity when a bardess tells you to meet her in an underground cave. Not only do I believe we were tricked into descending here, but I strongly believe Feana is also in trouble.
Day nine below the ground:
We crossed the tricky waters of this damned cave. It should have been a shallow trip, but it simulated the true raging river, and only Grizkh's swimming prowess saved us from certain death. We should face whatever monster is nested here. I hate caves.

Dear friends,
The last day of hot July brings the last map of the month! This is the monster cave, a versatile map you could use in various situations. Whether you need a quick underground encounter or an elaborate extraction mission, this one will do. It features lots of nice spots to stage any kind of fight, trap, or an invisible barrier.
I used it for a partial heist, where the party descended into darkness and crossed the cave to reach the loot spot. The endeavor was long, arduous, and lethal and resulted in the party's cleric parting ways with his sweet diamond to revive the sorcerer!
