The charade of "torture" and the princess's role of "prisoner" is getting harder and harder to keep up. It's stretched pretty thin at this point. I wonder if the princess will ever admit by the end of the season that she's basically switched sides. Obviously she can leave anytime but chooses not to. She's gone full Stockholm syndrome. She has a new home with friends she cares for deeply (who are all demons). Will she accept her new identity, and pledge allegiance to the demons? Or will she keep playing along forever? Like, what will she do if an army of humans marches on the demon lord's castle? My money is she defends her new friends.

I think Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle is great and stupid in the same ways as this, and makes about as much sense.
