Somehow the backstory seems to be very hit or miss. I found it good, another reactor laughed and found it incredible stupid. It is one thing, Amelia managed to revive Liam. But the Dad saw how much Killika was suffering, she almost lost her mind. So even when the memory eraze happened before the respawn, the king would fear that the guilt is still too much to bear. So he decided he would reveal it later. I don't think he forced himself and the others to ghost her, I think they were all afraid to tell her the truth "too early" and so they distanced themselves without really thinking about it. But from Killikas perspective, suddenly everyone hailed her sister and she was ignored, so she freaked out. Still a fucked up thing to do, but thinking everyone hates her, does redeem her a bit. I think this backstory is better than many others presented in Anime, I think it is psychologically understandable.

Ok, this episode was thoroughly enjoyable, but the elves’ behavior and Kilika’s backstory were just braindead. I get erasing Kilika’s memory after Liam’s death. Trauma like that can break anyone. But why the hell didn’t the Elf King restore her memory after Liam was resurrected? Instead, he forced the entire kingdom to ghost her and wrecked her mental health. On top of that, he let the kingdom’s most valuable asset, Amelia, get exiled and nearly killed… and his excuse was basically that he was “out getting milk.” Seriously? And then Kilika gets off scot-free. She’s not kind, she brainwashed people and literally tried to kill her sister out of jealousy. The elves’ logic here is insane. Despite the braindead elf behavior, this is actually my favorite episode of the series so far. I don’t know if it’s the production, the MC, or what, but this is in my top 3 anime this season. The elves were honestly more funny to me than infuriating, even though wasn't meant to be comedy. It’s bad writing for sure, but I’m still having a great time watching it.

Imagine you're the cat and you have those two calling each others names back and forth first thing in the morning ... Makes you want to eat a fireball. XD
