Now that I think about it, it is very weird that the demon lord would know about Akira specifically. I'm starting to think that what is called demons by the corrupt kingdom (untrustworthy source) is something else. This opens the possibilities. Maybe the demon is actually the former hero, or even Saran after faking his death (yes, I'm still coping!).

i think the past decade is where that was shown. like the 2020s are mostly hits and the 2010-2020 is actually a pretty large amount of solid ones but 2020 onwards is majority bangers imo

I think it's safe to assume that 2025 is the year isekais are actually starting to get good, and I mean really good.
