It's hard to describe it, but Ryo just doesn't have the personality that most other MC's have. Like he acts like a kid, is nonchalalant and jokes around a lot, but he's actually really confident and strategic without coming across as arrogant, except maybe to his enemies.

I'm with you on this one. I'm really enjoying the subversion and Rio is so OP that he just walks up to a "Baby" Demon Lord with a smile on his face, not an ounce of fear. The animation is meh, but you're right about the color palette helping. It does bring something different to this series. The music was on point this episode and I'm so excited for the next.
