It's an excellent sound, on a loop it's quite pleasant. In my limited knowledge, echolocation is generally in higher frequencies, and low sounds tend to be calls or signals. With the knowledge that this is an echolocation call, I would hypothesize that it is primarily for communication, and would check to see if there are ultrasonic frequencies I cannot hear as well. My reaction would have to depend on the circumstances. A - Am I alone? B - Do I have a reason to suspect something violent happened to the crew, or that I am in danger? C - Is this a huge vessel with lots of places to explore/hide/lay in wait? D - Am I armed? E - Are the lights on? Depending on the answers above my reaction could range from, "That's odd, I should see what's making that noise" to, "Nope! Bye!"
