🕑 Added 2021-05-20 21:55:07 +0000 UTCMy home in Mexico. I lived in an old brick building on the edge of town. A somewhat renovated (we did it ourselves) abandoned sugar mill factory by the sea with two other women, and a handful of rotating artists/travelers.
We surfed, we sipped mezcal, we built fires beneath the stars.
I painted, I wrote, I cried, I hit a piñata until I didn’t need to cry anymore. I fell in love. With this small desert beach town. With the family who caught all the fish for my tacos. With the the dog I named Cowrie and would join me for morning strolls down dusty dirt roads…
