When Rick left the show, they announced he'd return for a trilogy of movies in the TWD universe, but covid happened soon after and they scrapped the idea. The original finale of S10 was delayed by 6 months, because they couldn't properly edit it during covid. The last 4 episodes of S10 were shot during the height of the pandemic during social distancing.

Beth died in Atlanta and they are in Virginia so it isn't the same place in the show, but yes they did reuse the same set. I think Princess is a breath of fresh air in this dreary world.
