Let me explain about Daz and Samuel, who appeared at 7:43. Both of them were part of the 104th Training Corps, and they’ve actually shown up a few times in previous seasons. Daz was the one who threw up before his first battle in 1x5, and Jean yelled at him to stop puking and get up. He was also in the 2x5 snowy mountain training—Historia dragged him to safety, and Ymir carried him down the mountain to the lodge. As for Samuel, during his first battle in 1x5, he lost consciousness when the Colossal Titan attacked and fell from the wall. But thanks to Sasha’s quick thinking, she shot an anchor from her ODM gear into his leg, saving him from the fall.
