I really like this episode as it gives a visualization to Mr Braus’ point of children being stuck in the forest. These guys are all stuck around this campfire, in the forest, fighting each other while all their emotions are boiling over along with Hange’s soup

To Magaths point. Eldia had Tyrannized FOR 2000 years not just 2000 years ago. It's only been about 100 years since King Fritz fled to the island and created the walls, so it's much more recent history than just 2000 years ago.
