Yeah, where do you draw the line. Rick has good intentions but... he behaves like Shane and looks like a maniac at the end there. Unhinged. Though he does have a point. But Thank goodness Michonne was there!! But what do you do. Deanna is also very naive. She also don't have all the facts. It's pretty clear the people that have gone out and left people to die haven't told her the whole truth. So she doesn't know. All of them from Alexandria just don't know what's out there. It's a miracle really they've been safe this long. I mean, that they haven't met "bad people" before now. It's of course typical things will go wrong the minute Rick and Co turns up but otherwise we wouldn't have these storylines. And also, is Rick the bad guy now? I remember people debating this a lot. There's always a conflict, always a moral dilemma.... which is so interesting. We were all judging Shane at the beginning and the Govenor too. But things are never black and white and people will change by their experiences so maybe we judged too quickly because we as viewers are still living in our world and not theirs.

Rick was trying to toughen them up. Bring them to the reality of the world outside of the walls..since this community was pretty much sheltered from the beginning. They haven’t truly been tested by what’s out there. And we’re not just talking about the dead, but the LIVING. “Fight the dead, fear the living.”
