But I felt like, since the pin-up collections are smaller and since they are themed, the deserved to have a story with the. Even if I had to let the AI do nearly all of the heavy lifting.

The warmth of the sun caressed Wonder Woman’s skin as she lay on a soft, comfortable lounge chair. The sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore filled her ears, and a cool breeze ruffled her hair. The air was scented with salt and tropical flowers, a heady mixture that was both soothing and invigorating. But something wasn’t right.
She blinked, confusion settling in as she stared up at the bright blue sky. Moments ago, she had been on a rooftop in Gotham, preparing to confront a mysterious being claiming to be God. Now, she was…here, in what seemed to be a tropical paradise. She looked down at herself and gasped. Gone was her iconic armor, replaced by a stylish two-piece beachwear in her familiar red and blue colors, accented with gold. In her hand was a tall glass filled with a vibrant, fruity beverage, complete with a tiny umbrella.
“What in Hera’s name…?” she muttered, sitting up quickly. The sand was soft beneath her feet, the beach stretching endlessly in both directions. The water sparkled under the sun, a dazzling display of turquoise and azure. It was idyllic, perfect even—but how had she ended up here?
Before she could make sense of it, a shadow fell over her. Wonder Woman looked up, her heart skipping a beat as she saw the figure standing before her. It was a man, tall and broad-shouldered, with sandy blonde hair and a face that was achingly familiar.
“Diana,” he said, his voice filled with warmth and affection.
Wonder Woman’s breath caught in her throat. “Steve?” she whispered, disbelief and hope warring within her.

Wonder Woman was on her feet in an instant, the lounge chair forgotten. She took a hesitant step forward, then another, before finally closing the distance between them in a rush. She threw her arms around him, clutching him tightly as if afraid he might disappear. He felt real—solid and warm, and his scent, that familiar mix of leather, gunpowder, and something uniquely Steve, filled her senses.
“But how…?” she began, pulling back just enough to look into his eyes. “You…you died, Steve. During the war. How are you here?”
Steve’s smile was gentle as he cupped her face in his hands. “I know it’s a lot to take in. But I’m here now, Diana, and that’s all that matters. We have sixty-three days—sixty-three days to be together, to finally have the time we never got.”
“But how is this possible?” Wonder Woman’s mind was racing. This had to be some kind of trick or illusion. She was a warrior, a protector of truth, and nothing about this felt right.
“The being who brought you here—he really is what he says he is,” Steve explained, his tone soothing. “A God, of this universe at least. He created this place for us, a pocket universe where time stands still. There are no threats, no battles, no missions. Just us. Earth will be fine. You’ve done more than enough. Now it’s time to enjoy life, Diana. To be happy.”
Wonder Woman’s heart ached with the need to believe him, to accept this gift. But her instincts, honed by years of fighting deception and evil, screamed at her to be cautious. “I don’t know if I can trust this,” she admitted, her voice wavering.
Steve’s eyes softened with understanding. “I know it’s hard to believe, and I wouldn’t blame you if you were skeptical. But I’m here, Diana. We’re here. And for once, there’s nothing you need to fight, nothing you need to protect. Just…try to enjoy this, for both of us.”
She hesitated, her warrior’s mind battling against her heart’s desire. But as she looked into Steve’s eyes, saw the sincerity, the love there, something within her began to soften. Slowly, she nodded, allowing herself to lean into the warmth of his embrace. “Alright,” she whispered. “I’ll try.”
The days that followed were unlike anything Wonder Woman had ever experienced. The island was a paradise, filled with the simple pleasures she had long forgotten how to enjoy. She and Steve spent their mornings walking along the beach, hand in hand, their feet sinking into the warm sand as the waves kissed their toes. They built sandcastles like children, laughing together as they created elaborate fortresses that the tide would eventually claim.
Afternoons were filled with adventures—hiking through lush, tropical forests, discovering hidden waterfalls, and sharing picnics in secluded groves. “I need you,” she whispered, tears gathering in her eyes. “I don’t want to leave you again.”
Steve pulled her close, his arms wrapping around her as they stood together in the fading light. “You’ll never really leave me,” he said softly. “I’ll always be with you, in here.” He touched her chest, right above her heart. “And who knows? Maybe we’ll see each other again, someday.”
Wonder Woman looked up at him, tears now freely flowing down her cheeks. “I love you, Steve.”
“I love you too, Diana,” he replied, his voice thick with emotion. “Always have, always will.”
They kissed then, a long, passionate kiss that spoke of all the things they hadn’t been able to say, all the time they had lost. It was a kiss filled with love, with longing, with the desperate need to hold on to this moment for as long as possible.
But as the sun dipped below the horizon, the world around them began to shift. The warm sand, the gentle waves, the golden light—it all started to fade, dissolving into the twilight of Gotham City. Wonder Woman clung to Steve, her heart breaking as she felt him slipping away, but there was nothing she could do.
In an instant, the paradise was gone, replaced by the cold, hard reality of the Gotham rooftop. Wonder Woman stood alone, the echoes of the beach still ringing in her ears, the warmth of Steve’s embrace lingering on her skin.
The being, the one who had claimed to be God, was there, watching her with a gentle smile. “Welcome back,” he said softly.
Wonder Woman turned to him, her eyes filled with pain and longing. “Why?” she asked, her voice thick with emotion. “Why give me that, only to take it away?”
The being’s smile was sad, understanding. “Because you deserved to be happy, Diana. Even if it was only for a short while. You’ve given so much, sacrificed so much. I wanted to give you something in return, even if it was bittersweet.”
She looked down, her fists clenched at her sides as she fought to control the emotions swirling within her. “It’s cruel,” she said quietly. “To give me that, only to make me leave it behind.”
The being nodded. “I know. But I hope that, in time, you’ll remember this as a gift, not a loss. You found happiness, true happiness, even if only for a little while. And that is something that can never be taken from you.”
Wonder Woman closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she let his words sink in. When she opened them again, she looked out over Gotham, the city now bathed in the soft glow of the streetlights below. She felt a strange mixture of sorrow and peace, a deep sense of loss, but also a quiet gratitude.
“Thank you,” she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.
"You're welcome, and thank you for trusting me" God said with a smile before turning away from the Amazon, "Ah, and it looks like our next friend is about to return!"
Diana looked over, to see the fading light shimmer as a familiar and cowled form began to appear next to her as Batman, Bruce Wayne, returned to their home reality.
