Production Update: Actions & Locations & Producers, Oh My!

Cogs and things are moving over here. Straightforward update for ya this week, but we should have some exciting visual things for you all next week. For now, here's the Cliff's Notes version of what Team Nail House is putting together:
We signed a lease on a stage space! Huzzah! A tour should be in the wings very soon. From there, we'll get the area cleaned up (some bits from previous tenants are getting yeeted outta there) and geared up for pre-pro.
The guys had a great run of meetings with Yung, who is over in Toronto this week (as mentioned in our last post); long story short, a first pass on the action choreography for the train car sequence is in the can! Yung and his team shot over three days and Matt will be sharing the fruits of their labor next week.
Our next step is to start producing the train car fight sequence. We're viewing this as a mini production from beginning to end, akin to a short film or classic RJ/FreddieW YouTube vid from the days of yore. We'll budget it and get started on figuring out how to build the set. Goal is to shoot before Thanksgiving.
In related news, I, Cherish, the person writing all this, have signed on to produce not just this Patreon, but Nail House the movie itself! I won't wax poetic on here but for years, I've held a special passion for this story. Unsurprising, being a proud Chinese-American obsessed with food and history, and raised on action movies. Hopefully, we'll have more people coming on board soon but for now, I'm delighted to become an official member of this intrepid filmmaking cohort. Let's doooooo thiiis!!
