March Suggestion Box
🕑 Added 2025-03-08 21:14:13 +0000 UTCThis is a post for all members to make suggestions for additional features/options they'd like to see in The Nightborn Edition. Right now the emphasis will be on taking suggestions for the first seven nights, as I'll be going through in April and adding a lot of new content to the first week. I've already gotten two great suggestions: purple eyes and more time with the tanulf Kerach. The former is totally in, the latter will be added after Week One. Kerach isn't just there for a gag, we'll do some fun stuff with him.
I'll give consideration to all suggestions, weighing them against whether they'd interfere with the plot or how complicated they'd be to add. All ideas are welcome, just try not to be sad if I can't accommodate yours.
As a side note, thank you to everyone who's subscribed. Subs have already exceeded my goal for the month. It's a promising start and writing Bride of Shadows full-time feels like a very real possibility now. I'll be back tomorrow with the first few passages of the Heretic Night V NSFW route and our first poll.

So I won't generally comment on suggestion box stuff, I'd like everyone to feel comfortable saying whatever without worrying I'll jump in and say "That's not canon!" or give some lengthy reply about why xyz isn't a good idea. (fyi, all ideas are awesome, The Nightborn Edition is a team project) But I just wanted to let you and other veil requesters know that there will be a scene in Night VI where you can choose to wear/purchase a veil. I'll also be bringing back the clothing feature, either in Night VI or in the Week One update. You'll be able to purchase different outfits that have different stats which can give you bonuses to your interactions with the guys.

Second this! Also, it's cold and she's a "sun-softened witch," as Serax once eloquently put it—the veil can be for function against the cold AND religious fashion 😂.

Ngl with MC getting new clothes in the next chapter I would love to have the option to wear a veil again seeing as how Zealot MC has mentioned a few times how she misses it. But no worries if it wouldn’t work story/plot/character-wise.

Awww, more time with Kerach will be super cute, I bet. How about the ability to choose the general style and color palette of our upcoming wardrobe?

Could we have more skin tone options? Perhaps the addition of like, freckles or moles or other skin features? I read both routes Zealot and Heretic and I really like how different both are! both MCs finding their feet and finding who they are, and while Heretic has had a Time of it, Zealot MC also has a lot of self-loathing to untangle and I can't wait to see both of them heal from it.

This is one of the most well written IF's I've read in a while, and the story is right up my guilty pleasure alley lol Side note, I know from the FAQ a Serax only route is TBD, so I would like to make it known I am all in favor of it, for interest sake. That being said, I'll be reading any and all routes regardless 💕

I second this, more colors would be nice (I wouldn't complain if we got gold eyes) becasue right now we don't have that many choices for colors.

I was curious if additional hair/eye colors would be added in the future! And what colors would be considered common/rare in the world.

Loved loved week one so far! and I understand as of now learning about Val and Serax/the lore is the most important aspect and this may already be coming but I think some sort of comfort from them/reaction to both MC’s talking about their murder would be nice to see. It’s felt a little odd that so far it’s not really been acknowledged by them? But that may just be because they haven’t really taken her seriously when she’s spoken about it so far
