It was actually incredibly stupid. No one leaves the floor 0 portal without paying taxes. This means that those in charge can track who passes. Now anyone paying attention will be able to figure out that he has some way to get to Floor 0 without going thru the portal.

I don't think we know his body disappears before he actually teleports, so maybe not. Need to test it more.

Hey look, they did have eyes there like he thought they would. Not sure it was worth showing his face there. Might make them look into where Jorn is too quickly. How quickly can he use the gateway? And why does he think some weak gangster has the gateway if you need to clear a tower to get it? Makes no sense for them to be that weak. Doubt anyone other than his ex party has it.
