Portal hub communities are a thing, though they get more and more rare the higher you go as there are both less people who can even make it there and the tower gets increasingly aggressive about trying to destroy man-made structures.

…. This doesn’t make sense. If Sorin first expected his account to work, but hadn’t been below floor 50 in decades, then how is there being a bank such a surprise? Edit: also if you’re going to have expert crafters, they’re going to need tools some of which require buildings.
