Patreon devlog update 97: towards acheron
🕑 Added 2023-09-16 23:54:19 +0000 UTCalright, the third chapter is almost playable from start to finish, just a little more touchups and we should be on the home stretch for this one. I animated a couple things to make things more lively while the chapter is being finished.
One is Barbariccia in his restored state snapping the clothes away from his son farfarello
There's a point where andy uses a megaphone /voice changer to make bitoso believe a hell chicken is chasing him, so i animated him actually using it instead of just talking to him.
this one might be a bit gross? so basically you had to collect some blood from a huge vein in the circus tent by cutting a vein from the living tent. The cutting part was removed , so i animated the vein splurting blood on its own due to a previous unknown damage. You just need a receptacle to collect the blood now.
also animated andy waking up at the start of the level, groggy due to the lasting effects of the lethe. The blanket of empty beer cans is courtesy of his roomate barbie, of course.
there are like two more animations i want to include in the level, but i was kind of itching to move on from it, so i started sketching the next location: acheron, the infernal casino and one of the way out of hell. Still mulling over the design of the place, but i figured i'd show you peeps how the place could end up looking.
and of course , acheron is the home of a powerful archdevil. Malphas , great president of hell, owner of acheron and ...well, andy's dad. Still not sure on his design. He's an overfriendly guy and a concentrate of dadness so strong that andy can't help but cringe in his presence. Wich one do you think would work best?

Really hard choice, they’re all so good! I think C is my favorite, but I really love A’s legs- especially his yellow chicken feet😄

I like A the most, but for some reason I feel like B falls a little more in line with how you described him.
