Patreon devlog update 92: endless mirrors
🕑 Added 2023-02-24 02:14:15 +0000 UTCalright i know i said that i would spend thursday on that other pixel art project, but there's been a bit of a hitch on zap & andy, and the big map thing we were gonna use + the andy reflections chasing andy didn't really pan out too well: turns out adventure game studio doesn't handle collisions well AT ALL so we had to scrap that entire idea. So back to the drawing board ; we came up with a much simpler puzzle for this part that is literally impossible to backfire on us so this should be it for this damn mirror dimension XD
so the idea this time is that you'll visit a bunch of rooms where you'll find some items that will help you defeat the evil mirror clones of andy. I designed one of them , and ofc most of them will be where the victim of the killer clown pagliazzo ended up. Seems like these campers meet an unfortunate end... at least they went out with style.
one of the various mirror rooms will be the exit, but it'll be blocked by the three shadows going at it. Given that you can (and will have to) defeat each in a randomic order, i had to draw different versions of the threesome they're having depending on who hasn't yet been defeated
so this is what you'll see if you've defeated the skinny reflection
this is what you'll see after defeating the fat one
and this is what will block you if you only defeated the squat reflection
if you haven't defeated any of the mirror andies you'll see the full threesome instead
i still have to animate them jerking off on their own after you've defeated two reflections, but most of the work is done i'd say.

I'm sorry you're having issues with the engine - I know running into limitations/issues with software like that can be really frustrating. I love how the new idea for this section looks - especially all of the possible variations of the reflections interacting π
