patreon devlog update 72: pump it up
🕑 Added 2022-02-24 23:28:00 +0000 UTChey peeps, this week it's back to zap & andy since i had to do quite a bit of pics for it.
First , we needed a location for the top of the big circus tent where the final act of the chapter will take place. You can freely climb on the vertebrae on the left, but perhaps i'll had a ladder later to indicate to the player you can actually climb up there:
the top of the tent is of course all meaty and veiny as the interior proper
aside from the tightrope andy will find a big conspicuous vein up there, pumping whatever this big monstrosity in the form of a circus tent passes for blood.
also, in the middle part of the chapter andy will retrieve the belongings lost when he fell into the lethe. Amongst these items there is of course his trusty hip flask full of fireball whiskey. Since we didn't have an animation of him drinking while in his topless state, had to edit the existing one:
of course, drinking the cursed whiskey sets andy ablaze, and it has a secondary effect, wich is burning out the lethe leech that has been sucking up his memories and causing his amnesia:
made an animation of andy clearing up his empty head just for the heck of it X3
last but not least, should you lose the minigame where andy tries to sabotage the strongman's show to get the motor from his edging machine , he'll put HIM on a edging machine for the next 1000 years, caging his useless peepee and tossing the key so andy's brain fills up only with the desire to get off and get bigger ,resulting in one of the many game overs of the game

I love the design for the tent interior - especially the detail of the giant set of teeth separating the ring from the spectator seats. And that fail-condition/game over in the last image 👀 I would very much like to borrow one of those machines for... research.
