patreon devlog upate 79: ring of fire
🕑 Added 2022-04-28 21:59:01 +0000 UTCheyo peeps! this week i worked on just one thing, apologies, i'm a bit under the weather lately XD
anyways, the next trial our drunken zap has to face is a full ride on a couple of trapeze swings, and with a ring of fire in the middle to boot!
i wanted this scene all in one screen from the beginning so i thought it being shot from the side would be good enough to capture everything-
in the end i thought the shot was too boring and i decided to scrap it halfway, and decided to go for a perspective similar to the previous scene- at this point i had to re-animate the swings-
and then animate the characters who will help zap, the lion tamer demon buer (blinfolded with a pair of briefs) and gehennaro-
then i had to draw the full background in high resolution...
...and shrink it down to fit the game resolution-
and that's all i could do for today, i started drawing the ring of fire, but i'll probably need a bit more time to animate something like this. After this, all i have to do is to animate zap swinging with his demon helpers and the scene will be done.
