patreon devlog update 3:killer clowns from heck
🕑 Added 2018-08-04 01:14:09 +0000 UTC the production for the second level for Zap & Andy: get outta hell continues! i wanted to draw some walk cycles for the residents of the motel. I'll probably add the damned too soon, but for now here's the people that have actual dialog lines and that will probably have to move around the place.
after that i thought it was high time to start designign the room where the boys will have a very troublesome stay. I started with a pretty normal motel room, but well ..it's hell so there's no way it was gonna stay that way.
i had a TON of fun making the grossest , most uninviting motel room you could imagine, but ultimately some details will be lost in the final game resolution like the spicy lotion label and the clown painting.
speaking of wich, i initially had a way creepier design, but the new one i find kinda cute, so i ended up doing a full body pic of him. Maybe we'll use him further along? there is a circus level after all.
all in all the room is kind of a nightmare, but for andy, it's just like home:
anyways, the next section will involve a journey inside Andy's memories and dreams, so it was necessary starting to think of andy and zap's looks for when they were teens, thus this one was born:
these guys were already SUPER gay, if only they knew.

Oh man, the word "clown" in Italian sounds more officially elegant! I love clowns, and your character makes iconic representation!

hah i just wrote down the italian word for clown in his namefile..you think it would make for a good name for him?

eh, i'm sorry! i just thought he kind of looked too similar to piercer, with the black beard and the cold-toned skin. maybe i'll reuse the design for another character!

They are all just dandy, but I must address the elephant in the room, the king visual for Sid seems to be final, and I have no complains what so ever, since he did look really good and really cute in that style... buuut I can't deny that his dictator style will be somewhat missed, the bear was really nice XD
