Hi, I was thinking to allow the user to add the social networks, this will be a feature for the next version of Bludit, probably for Bludit v4.
Timo Malum
May I suggest you add some social networks to the Settings page that are more relevant to users in North America? Trending sites are: MeWe, Parler, Codias, Wimkin, Gab, Brighteon Social, Minds, Trooth, and Similar Worlds. At least half the ones currently available aren't known of in my half of the world. It would be nice to have more choices. Thank you!

I don't know how Softaculus works. What you can try is 1- Install Bludit PRO from scratch. 2- Login to the admin area and check if everything works fine. 2- Copy the folder /bl-content from the old installation to the new installation 3- Login to the admin area to check if the settings are ok and if you need to change something, like the URL of your domain.

I give up for now. I deleted the pro installation and reinstalled the standard Bludit using Softaculus. I still can't upload a backup zip file to the backup plugin. It just doesn't work.

What I'm doing right now: I have a Bludit blog on host A. I want to mirror it to host B. I just deleted my Softaculus installation of Bludit on host B and reinstalled it (using pro version) into folder public_html. I opened a new tab and went to the domain and finished the install. I then activated the backups plugin. I did a back up. I thought I could then upload the most recent backup from the other host to the new host and have the site work on both hosts. But when I click "upload backup" and select the zip file and hit "open" it just goes back to the backup plugin page and doesn't upload anything. I don't know what to do. I thought if I could get this second mirror site host to work I'd know what to do to upgrade my primary host, but no.

Hi, I'm not offended at all, I just want to help you. Can you tell me where is installed Bludit and in what folder ?
Timo Malum
I still haven't done it. No offense, but your instructions make no sense. I don't know what to do. Just give us a 1-2-3 step by step explanation, please.

That's inside theme's installed and active directory. π

HEY, how do i change the site favicon?
Bludit
in the worst case you need to delete all and copy the backup you did and everything will works again
Bludit
Then do the replace of files
Bludit
Hi, do the following, copy all your current files, Bludit keeps all the data as files so you will backup everything, plugins and themes installed.
Timo Malum
How do I upgrade to Pro? The instructions only say to replace regular files with Pro files, but I'm afraid I'll lose my content and my settings for plug in's. I think the instructions are very vague to the point of being useless. I extracted the zip file to my server and I did replace my kernel folder with the Pro version but then I decided I didn't know what I was doing so I stopped. Are there any good instructions online? I can't find any.

Thank you so much!!! Upgrade went smooth. I am seeing an odd issue with the Backup plugin throwing an error that backup was not created but it actually is. Not a big deal for me since I have a setup that backups up to GitHub and I have redundancy across my cluster. I will try to take a look and see if I can figure it out. Thanks again!!
