Title page and CGs!
🕑 Added 2023-08-12 17:23:20 +0000 UTCThis week saw some solid work on the CGs and GUI! Got the title page almost exactly how I want it. And got a number of CGs done too. There are 12 CGs total in the game, and here are 5 of them complete! So 7 left to go. If I finish two a day next week, plus an extra day to work on the GUI. I should be able to finish the Fertility Ritual next week!!!
I got some great play testing in from TA (The Assistant), and he gave me a lot of ideas for how I could add in extra polish. As well as the pacing. A few things I want to add in... but we'll see how time goes. If I need to give this another week to get it all in, I may just be tempted to.
As well, I got some solid data on how long it's taken me to get this far. About one week of writing, one week of backgrounds, one week of sprites, and going to be two weeks of CGs, *maybe* with another week for extras. We'll see! We'll see!
I really want to make more visual novels going forward. But it's definitely scary- spending so much time on a single project is... weird for me. It's weird because I've spent the past decade so absorbed into the social media grind. Making free content and trying to post something literally every day. It changes how your brain thinks of your work, how you relate to the daily grind, and how long you expect to work on things.
I hope I can keep moving forward to make visual novels, and if necessary- comics and sequence packs. But we'll see!
