Incoming: 12 days of saucy Christmas!
🕑 Added 2024-12-20 16:33:54 +0000 UTCHey guys! I wanted to announce a saucy thing I've been cooking up this month for the saucy tiers. It's now been 14 months since I've started doing NSFW stuff, and I've improved tons in that time. I thought it'd be fun to revisit some of my earlier saucy pieces and give them a modern 2.0 makeover!
Now, despite the cute format, I don't know if I'll have exactly 12 saucy reworks prepared, but it should at least be pretty close to that number. As of now, I've basically finished the Chinatsu Christmas one (that may be the first I post, since it starts on Christmas), I've finished Bridget, Reina & Chinatsu gym, and Unryuu. I am almost done with Patchouli. I am working on more substantial improvements for the Chinatsu VK, Fangirl 2, Dressing or Undressing 2, and Wave Girl. And at the moment I also plan to tackle the Chinatsu lingerie one, Aqua's butt (version 3), and Tamamo. That makes 12, I think, right? We'll see if more end up happening, but for now I'm gonna try to consistently finish reworking these and try to drop one a day for 12 days.
I am pretty stoked with the improvement on the ones I've done so far, especially the earliest ones I did in late 2023, where you can really see the improvement. I hope you guys will love them too.
I am gonna be crazy busy doing this and my other work, and I'll be streaming it all, so join the stream sometime (don't forget, it's on Picarto now cause Twitch bonked me) and chat me up. :)
In the attachments I leave a little sneak peak of how one of the reworks is looking, and the kind of improvement you can expect. 👀

Totally understandable, I'm sure it's difficult balancing doing something both challenging and appealing (and of course not wanting to do crazy difficult work every time). Once I get around to getting some commissions, I'll be sure to make it difficult, lol.

If I had to pick, I guess I have tried to lean slightly more on the side of doing more simple frontal pieces. I feel like honestly sometimes I overcomplicate a pose when a simple one can be still really effective. And it makes for a fun challenge too; how do you make a seemingly boring pose look exciting? With commish stuff I'm often constrained to poses that are better at showcasing the character as opposed to more dynamic cool compositions that might showcase them worse. The recent bath girl piece with the heavy foreshortening on the crotch is something that people almost never would want to commission, but I've wanted to do for a while, so I went ahead and did it for me. :p

I guess if I had to pin it down, my point would be more about the poses seen in some of these (combined with the previously mentioned interest in seeing these 'remastered'). I had earlier thought that you had too much "simpler, front facing" posed pieces this year, though having looked through your posts this year I realize I am a bit mistaken.

Oh hey, a lot of the older Chinatsu pieces. :> The hotsprings girl kind of got merged with the steamy bath girl for me. I do want to draw more of her in the future. I'm not sure I know exactly what qualities you might have in mind about those older pieces that you feel I haven't touched recently. I guess Chinatsu has a bit of a different vibe. She used to be a little more dommy-looking, and slowly transitioned to be more shy. The virginkiller sweater piece I'm retouching is one of the more daring recent poses of hers. I definitely want to try more daring poses with her in the future.

Makes sense. And yeah not anything I've given major thought to, I was just randomly looking through older pieces and was thinking how they'd look if they were 'newer'. Just got the sake of argument, here are a few examples of pieces that are older and/or have qualities that I don't recall having been seen as much recently: (Using DeviantArt image titles for simplicity) Squeeze, 1K!, CM:Eiko, Hotsprings, Chinatsu 2K, Watermelon, Chinatsu 5K, CM:Janelle, CM:Yami.

Hmm, I don't think I've given it a ton of thought. The newest Wave Girl piece and Dressing or Undressing 2 are sort of remakes of the original pieces, but not exactly 1 to 1, since I changed the angles and poses a bit, but kept the same ideas or spirit. As for a more 1 to 1 remake, I wonder which pieces would work well for that. Might have to go back through my old pieces. 👀 Out of curiosity, which ones did you have in mind?

Not what I had on my Christmas list, but a nice surprise. I'm always interested in seeing the evolution of an artist's work. Have you considered doing more 'remasters' of your previous (NSFW or not) work? There's some of your really older stuff that I'd be interested to see your modern take on (perhaps I'll have to commission that myself one day).
