The description of Nicks sword reminds me of Orcrist from the hobbit. With the exception of the pommel jewel they sound very alike.

I really like how you write Nick learning Swordmanship, it has a certain weight to it that can often be lost when writing. Also I'm just as eager to see the sword repaired as Nick. Tftc
