Rinkah watched from a distance as Selena rushed back into the nearest Nohrian camp. The sobbing redhead bolted past the soldiers guarding the entrance, prompting them to follow her deeper into camp. With the guards temporarily gone, Rinkah sneaked forward; her dragon heads could smell a stockpile of rations on the breeze, making her stomach growl and the molten rock beneath her scales glow hotter.
Following her noses, the tauric beast circled around the encampment until the scent trail led her to a wagon full of food crates. Rinkah didn't hesitate to tip the wagon over and claw at the scattered boxes on the ground.
Soon enough, she freed some of her food from its wooden prison: out spilled fresh fruits and veggies. Her front legs dropped to their knees so her pair of beast heads could dig in and her human torso could shovel even more delectable produce into her human mouth. With needy growls and hasty crunching sounds, Rinkah devoured the sweet, juicy appetiser in moments, then swiftly moved on to the next crate.
"What in the hells is causing all this racket!?" Effie boomed as she rounded a nearby corner with Peri in tow. "Oh what the fuck…"
"Wooooaahh! A dragon!" Peri gasped airily. "I wanna kill it, I wanna kill it!!"
"Stop it from eating all our rations!" Effie ordered furiously. “Stop stealing our food, beast!”
The two knights charged at the former human with lances in hand. Together, they struck Rinkah's back, but their weapons didn't even scratch her scales. A slight pang of hunger seemingly hit them just from looking at the monster feasting on their rations.
"Again!" Effie ordered, then lunged.
And again, the tauric creature didn't so much as flinch as she continued to gorge herself. Rinkah might not have even realised she was under attack; her attention was so completely captured by the incredible produce filling her stomachs. Her tail swayed contently despite the onslaught she was withstanding.
"Rrrgh, come onnn, where's the blood?" Peri whined as her stomach let out a quiet rumble. “Give! Me! Blooood!!”
Both of them continued to jab and thrash, but their blows rapidly grew weaker and weaker. Eventually, Effie noticed just how hungry she'd become from all that exertion and dropped her lance. Her hands shook and her knees wobbled. The knight wasn’t able to get food off the brain and her willpower was critically low.
"So hungry… *pant* All I need is a top up to fight this fiend! We've got her- *pant* -on the ropes!" Elise's retainer declared as she stumbled over to the nearest crate and plied it open.
"We should call for back-up, *pant* we need someone who can break through those scales. Then, we can get at the soft, bloody bits inside!" Peri said with her unwavering bloodlust.
"Ugh, stop going on about blood and gore before you put me off my food!" Effie snapped. “I just need a top-up, and so do you!”
As much as Xander's retainer wanted to drag her patrol partner away and call for reinforcements, she couldn't deny she was feeling more than a bit peckish now herself. Peri's hunger was distracting, but Effie's hunger had become so unbearable that she practically shoved her face into a pile of raw potatoes and relentlessly chomped away at them.
As soon as she began to eat, Effie's body started expanding. Her heavy suit of armour strained as her luscious rump swelled and her powerful thighs fattened up. Moreover, the metal plates encompassing her body were beginning to turn soft and red as an intense heat was ignited within. Steam escaped from gaps in her armour, boiling off faster than should have even been possible.
"Hey, Effie…? Mayyybe you should really stop now…" Peri slowly backed away from the transformed monster and her feasting comrade. She wanted to run, but hunger pangs left her body unwilling to exert itself.
"Mmm, thish is the besht food I've erver eaten! Nnng, sho good…" Effie couldn't stop shovelling whole potatoes into her mouth, even as she spoke.
Before long, Effie's entire shell of warped, half-melted armour buckled and fell off her body, revealing a smoldering transformation in progress: her feet were now tipped with rocky talons; her thighs were thicker and appeared to be made of molten rock; her glutes were larger and rounder, and a stubby tail was beginning to form just above; and her hips had strange, lumpy growths bulging out from each side. Both lumps seemed to breath in time with their host, sending little sparks flying with each exhale.
"Wh-what the hells!?" Peri muttered breathlessly. Everything was so confusing, she couldn't think straight with the growing hunger eating away at her! She finally turned to run away, but could only manage a fatigued half-jog. She could feel the unbearable heat radiating off of Effie even from several meters away. “H-how is she so HOT!? *pant* A-and how is she still alive!? Shouldn’t her blood be b-boiling!?”
"Peri! Jusht herve a bite, it'sh sho good!" Effie stomped after her counterpart, quickly grabbing her by the arm and dragging her back to where Rinkah was tearing open another crate. "Come on, you’ve gottshta try thish!"
It was so tempting just to indulge herself - even though raw potatoes usually weren’t palatable, in her very human taste - but Peri knew she'd get disciplined for digging-in to the camp's supplies; Prince Xander could be incredibly frightening when he wanted to, after all. Besides, she wanted to tear into that big dumb monster and spill its blood! Blood…
The unmistakable aroma of blood filled the air, and then she saw it: the latest crate to be torn up was full of fresh, bloody meat! Peri's pupils dilated as a bit of drool escaped her lips. She’d never really given much thought to the juicy, savoury blood in her food before, but with her mounting appetite corroding her spirit, the prime cut of meat commanded her full attention. Before she could pull herself out of her daze, Effie shoved the delicious raw steak into Peri’s mouth. It was then too late to prevent her fantastical transformation.
Peri's stomach took over as she bit off a chunk of meat and voraciously gobbled it up. All resistance burned away as the gluttonous fire within became an almost tangible inferno inside her.
The pair of retainers wildly fed on the luxurious, fresh red meat before them. Their strong, lean bodies bulked up, gaining a new chubby layer as well as even more muscle mass. Their abs were made less and less pronounced as they gained soft new tummies, and their cute little breasts inflated to big, soft, enviable proportions.
Peri’s clothing began to strain, then quickly burst into flames before they had the chance to be torn apart. Unphased by the fire encompassing her body, the retainer exerted herself to chew the slabs of uncooked steak. After a moment, she noticed she could slice through her meal with ease as her teeth sharpened to support her beastly diet.
By now, Effie’s posterior had swollen to inconvenient proportions and, despite her constant hunger, her human stomach was approaching its limit. She found relief, however, as her legs split apart into another pair of beastly limbs and new stomachs formed in her growing draconic lower body. Her new tail had become a muscular, powerful weapon to match her incredible quadrupedal legs and fierce claws. The lumps at her hips formed pointed snouts with menacing teeth and piercing eyes, becoming carnal dragon heads of her very own. Finally, the outer layer of molten rock - which acted as a kind of skin - cooled into stony scales to match Rinkah’s, completing her transformation.
Not far behind, though, Peri’s body was radiating intense light from the boiling lava that was her rapidly changing body. Unlike with Effie, liquified rock oozed off Peri’s back and took on the vague shape of a dragon’s body, legs, and a tail. Each bit of delectable sustenance she consumed helped form new organs - most important of which being the extra stomachs - within the mass of bubbling molten rock. Once her own twin dragon heads had been shaped from the living lava, her body finally cooled so that her own rocky armour solidified around her tauric parts.
Unlike Rinkah, Peri and Effie did not have horns on their human heads, nor did their human arms gain scales or talons. Moreover, they were significantly smaller than Rinkah, but still larger than most horses, with disproportionately massive appetites to boot.
The former retainers were now ready to begin their new lives with their pack leader, Rinkah.
“Nnng, still hungry…” Effie groaned once the camp’s supplies had all been exhausted.
“Me toooo! I want more bloody meat!!” Peri whined with carnivorous desire smoldering within.
“We need to find more food, and soon… If we’re to survive, our pack must grow. For that, we’ll need to find a reliable source of food.” Rinkah stated authoritatively. “Come, little ones. We need to go before the army is upon us.”
At that, the former Flame Tribe warrior led her pack away with her nose as her guide.
