'Ohhh, now you've done it, Bernie! I knew I shouldn't have snuck into the Professor's room to cuddle her stuffed bear!' Bernie thought to herself, now unable to speak. 'I d-don't even know what happened! I was holding the bear, and then it vanished in a flash of light... I couldn't move, and I started shrinking and changing, and now I'm an armored bear stuffy!
'This wouldn't be so bad if the professor cuddled me all the time... Actually, that would be pretty nice! B-but she's always out doing things!' Bernie's poor cotton heart began to melt. 'Ohhh, why couldn't she just stay in with me... Why couldn't she stay and hold me...
'Ohhh, I have to find a way out of this! Without me, who's going to feed my lil pitcher plants their flies? I don't want to just sit here in someone else's room! I want to sit in my room, when I'm able to read and paint and write! This is just boring... A-and lonely... Ohhh, I miss my plushies and plants and story characters!'
