"I welcome you, inmate.
Calm down, this is part of the standardized intake protocol in our prison. It’s curious… almost no one asks where the catch is when they’re offered to reduce their sentence by one third if they serve it here. So I’ll explain it to you.
Our facility doesn’t operate like the others. We don’t need isolation cells, and we abhor the use of violence. Here we have a different corrective method… Every time someone breaks a rule, they end up exactly where you are now.
Today, as a newcomer, I’m going to give you your ‘official welcome.’ Don’t worry, it will be brief, just enough for you to understand what awaits you here if you don’t behave… a little warning. Learn quickly, and maybe… just maybe, this will be the only time you have to go through here… cause us problems and rest assured you’ll spend a good part of your sentence laughing."
