Hey all, and welcome back to Gruuk Jit'Jit! This week we have the final corner of The Flying Pig Lodge, featuring the goblin saunas, the utility tunnels beneath the city, and a market for all sorts of illicit wares. We're now 2/3 done with Gruuk Jit'Jit, and there's still so much for y'all to see. If you couldn't tell, we love this goddamn city. Let's see what we've got in store for you!
Borough Guide
We take one more trip into the massive tavern in this release. Attached to the room blocks, we've got the goblin saunas, where trade deals are struck and goblin polycules get freaky. Beneath that, we learn about the ultility tunnels that connect every corner of the city... perhaps a perfect fast-travel system for clever adventurers. Finally, we take a trip into Kuskyn Market, where vendors peddle wares that would be illegal to sell anywhere else in the world. A double agent is collecting info on crime in the city; will you turn her in, or join the fight for justice?
Maps
Yet again this map is absolutely dominated by the huge tavern complex. You can see the goblins have filled every square inch of their floating island with the ever-growing inn. The main attraction here is of course the saunas, with different sized capsules for all sorts of purposes. As always, we've got a slew of map variants this time around, so you can enjoy goblin adventures no matter the weather.
We've got two interior maps for you this week: sauna rooms for all of your secret deal making or amorous trysts, plus a dip into the utility tunnels for spying, sneaking, and escaping. These interior maps are only avilable to Chief Courier tier patrons and up.
Music
This week, our primary track is "Kuskyn Market," a rousing city tune that evokes a busy marketplace. Throw this on whenever your players are in the crowded non-goblin parts of Gruuk Jit'Jit. The variant track is an "after hours" arrangement that strips the instrumentation and slows everything down, keeping the mood cool and quiet.
We've got TWO bonus minis for you today. "Doulmecq Has Many Wares" is classic RPG shopping music, ideal for getting your players in the mood to spent their hard-earned gold.
Then, Chief Courier tier patrons get access to one of the dumbest tracks we've released yet. "Goblin Saunas" is "calming spa music" made by goofballs. The vibe is almost relaxing... if it weren't so silly and sloppy. Put this on while your players are trying to rest up in the ever chaotic goblin city.
Sot Stone | Collaboration with Tavern of Trinkets
Our layour editor Jelke has graced us yet again with one of the 5e magic items he created for his former Patreon Tavern of Trinkets. The sot stone is one of the stranger items in his collection, a rock that can absorb and then squeeze out up to 36 gallons of any liquid. In most contexts... I don't know, maybe that's kind of useful? But in a city that hoards most of the entire realm's fuel, an item like this could come in very handy.
