Poll: More D&D 5e Content?
🕑 Added 2021-12-03 19:32:46 +0000 UTCHey all! We're currently putting the finishing touches on Ancora Bay 08, and we're well on our way toward the announcement of [BOROUGH #4]. In the meantime, we'd love your input!
When we started Borough Bound, one of our primary objectives was to make content that was truly system agnostic. You can use our maps, documents, and peripheral content to play D&D, Pathfinder, Blades in the Dark, or whatever other TTRPG you prefer. That said, we're well aware that the majority of you play 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. We've already released a few pieces of side content (notably the LIMINA Subclasses, the Borough Bound statblock guide, and The Fluffy Folio's Kadhizi genie stats), and we have a few more subclasses already in the works.
We're curious if you'd prefer a greater prioritization of D&D 5e content. That content could take many forms. We could try to tackle a bunch more collaborations with our peers who already excel at this kind of content, we could solicit fan content from all of you, or our writer Will could just try pumping out more properly formatted items, monster stat blocks, homebrew subclasses, adventure modules, or anything else.

Agreed, 100%, My upcoming campaign is set in a ruined magical city, finding maps has been a challenge.

To be fair, Eberron isn't even steampunk to being with so when you remove that, there isn't that much Eberron content either aside from a couple of very dedicated map makers not letting us down.

I'd like to see maps/boroughs of underrepresented D&D settings moreso than new creatures, subclasses and stat blocks. Ravnica comes to mind. It is an urban sprawl that is very difficult to find representative maps for. By urban I mean a dense, endless city littered with high rises - not a large a village of 1 story buildings. The vast majority of maps are made for the typical Lord of the Rings style of setting where most D&D adventures take place. There are a ton of steampunk maps for Eberron, but these don't visually depict Ravnica very well. Ravnica is a very vertical city, with tall buildings and deep sewers. I understand verticality is difficult to depict on 2D maps designed to be looked at from the top down. It'd have to be a multi map approach, perfect for Borough Bound! (hey - a man can dream)

Echoing this comment. I would definitely use D&D content but I'm perfectly happy with system-agnostic material.

I’m definitely a D&D player/GM and would certainly make use of that content, but if you’ve got to make a choice between creating D&D-specific stuff and system-agnostic stuff I’m perfectly happy for you to prioritize more content that everyone can use!
