Hello all, and welcome to our newest borough! Wresyck Junction is one of many districts in the great arcane megacity Svarnahelm (click here for a quick briefer on Svarnahelm). This distrct is also the winner of our most recent borough request poll: in fact, we'd say it qualifies as both an "Alchemical / Magitech City" as well as a "Jazz Noir / Criminal Underbelly City."
Wresyck Junction is part power plant, part corporate headquarters, part gang turf, and part jazzy cultural epicenter. This borough will consist of four releases, but please remember that we'll be regularly revisiting Svarnahelm with new districts. As you read through our borough guides, please start thinking about which one you'd like to see next!
Borough Guide
This first borough guide introduces you to the district. First things first: who lives here? what do they do? what's the vibe? After that, we provide an overview of spark vials—the technology that help all of Svarnahelm to run. Next, an overview of the Wresyck Corporation, their archon, their headquarters, their controversies, their board of directors, and heaps of rumors and plot hooks. Look, this is Wresyck Junction. You better bet that all of the specifics of the corporation are going to be important.
Maps
This first map cover the northwestern corner of the district. Wresyck HQ towers over the surrounding buildings, and neon signs give the entire hazy neighborhood a a soft glow. Pipes crisscross the district, carrying parcels, strange gasses, and Gods know what else. For each of our Wresyck Junction maps, we're providing a bunch of variants: No Neon, Rain, Snowy, Flooded, Desert, Pleasant, Shadowfell, and Desert.
Our interior for map 1 is one of the largest interiors we've ever created: a full three stories of the massive headquarters. The ground floor includes reception and offices, the second floor has the board room and spaces for leading arcanists, and the top floor is, of course, Archon Berrian Ichinath's penthouse. We are absolutely begging you to run a high-stakes heist here.
Music
Uh oh, we're doing a jazzy borough, y'all. If you thought Will wasn't going to make some moody jazz to accompany it, you clearly haven't been paying attention. "Complicit" is something of a main theme for Wresyck Junction. It's both seedy and groovy. Feel free to throw this on as a default track as your party explores the city streets. If you want something less active and more emotive, throw on the solo piano arrangement!
