Hauthell 03 - The Taxman

Today we return to Hauthell! Another 12 years have passed, and so much has changed. The town's footprint has expanded, the Hauthrets built a mill, and the state decided to station a customs checkpoint right along the thoroughfare. Time waits for no man!
This is the third of at least three Hauthell releases. We're already scheming what Hauthell 04 will bring, and once that's released, we'll ask you if you want even more Hauthell from us!
Also, please remain pumped for the release of our first Svarnahelm district in the weeks to come!
Borough Guide
So much has changed in the past twelve years. This guide includes updates for all of the residents of Hauthell, and we welcome a handful introduces new babies, spouses, and transplants. We also provide information about the grain mill in town, the customs checkpoint, and the new farms that dot the landscape outside of the central village. As different as this is, it's still just a taste of what's to come!
Maps
This map is larger than our previous Hauthell maps. As time passes, the city grows inch by inch. You'll also notice that the road has been paved. and new construction projects have been completed. If you want to tweak this to fit your campaign, we provide 3 seasonal variants (Spring, Autumn, and Winter), 2 weather-specific variants (Rainy and Misty), plus 2 regional variants (Tropical and Lakeside).
There are three new interiors for this map: Mattheus and Nils's home, Edward and Elsa's home, and the mill. Many of the interiors from previous maps remain relevant, as well. That may or may not change with Hauthell 04...
Music
"Checkpoint" is stately music, perfect for backwoods governmental oversight. The brass and drums paint a picture of regimented order, but the truth is that this is still a podunk operation. It's pleasant! It's quirky! But make no mistake: this is the work of the state. A nighttime variant is perfect for jaunts through the newly developed village in the evening.
