Hey everyone!
Here's part 3 of Meddenfirth: the Drawbridge! If you haven't caught up on the first two posts, we recommend you start from the very beginning. Otherwise, enjoy the newest update to the city on a bridge! As before, this section of map lies due east of the previous release. Everything fits together seamlessly and we're VERY excited to show you what the whole bridge looks like when it's done.
The Borough Guide
The Drawbridge, like other sections of Meddenfirth, has to fill many roles in the city life. Yes, it allows the occasional ship to pass through the Medden River, but it's also the hub of political life and the commercial epicenter of the city. Read all about the market and its fine wares, and then switch gears to engage in some high stakes politicking! A ceasefire is within reach, but many forces are going to complicate that. Can your players ensure a truce in the Long War? Or will they profit from continued fighting?
Maps
This section of the map is dominated by No Man's Bazaar, a colorful marketplace that shifts around whenever the bridge has to lift. Additionally, there's the rooftop café known as Izetta's Beanery. Your players are going to love infiltrating this towering inn / eatery to get access to the peace talks. Plus, in addition to the Frog Block variants, our General Messenger + patrons get access to a version of this map with the bridge up! Hijinks are sure to ensue once your players are no longer able to so easily traverse the city.
Music
Bonus! This week you get an additional music track to help score your adventures. "The Tarhands" is your classic seedy urban crime banger. As soon as your players hear this, they'll know "ohhhh, okay, we're dealing with some 'unsavory' folks." For nighttime antics, throw on "The Tarhands (Bells and Bass)" for a calmer, sneakier vibe.
