ATS B3 Epilogue
🕑 Added 2023-11-21 05:11:08 +0000 UTCAnd here's the epilogue! :D Thanks for reading through, guys. Book 4 starts on Wednesday!
Arthur and Brixaby arrived, a few moments later, well outside Mesa Free Hive. Right on top of the pebbles they had keyed to during the battle with the Mind Singer's dragons.
It was nighttime in this part of the world. Just after sunset.
Arthur turned to his dragon. “A human-wing body-enhancement card?”
“Even if we can now fly together, all proper beings should have wings of their own.” Brixaby eyed him. “You wish me to give my cards to orphans?”
“I knew trying to influence you that way would be seen as hostile,” Arthur said with a grin.
He knew his dragon… and Brixaby knew him well, too. Though Arthur wanted to grow stronger and truly master every secret of his cards, he was happy with who he was, physically. He certainly didn’t need wings.
Brixaby snorted at him, and then his eyes went briefly unfocused as he gazed inward.
"I updated my map. We are on the opposite side of the world from where we need to go."
"Doesn't matter," Arthur said. "We'll be there in a few minutes. Horatio and Cressida have a longer journey ahead of them."
"They have a copy of the map, and you were the one worried Crag's rider would capture them if they returned with us to Wolf Moon."
"I'm not taking any chances with hostages, after what happened with the King," Arthur said, instead of admitting he might have over-worried. "Let's get this portal open before we upset the Free Hive, too."
"Who cares about their feelings? We're a Legendary Pair. What could they do to stop us?"
Arthur smiled and used the portal spell he'd copied using his Counterfeit Siphon card. There was plenty of time left.
He supposed he could have portaled back from Wolf Moon, but he wanted to make his escape as convoluted as possible in case they were somehow followed.
Arthur used his rapidly dwindling mana to rip a hole in the fabric of reality in front of him. Brixaby's new card supplied the destination.
It was bright daylight on the other side. The portal opened on top of a hill that looked down onto the sprawling city of a brand-new kingdom.
A place where neither he nor Brixaby would be known. An entire fresh start, where a valuable, if unknown object waited for them.
And in a few weeks, Cressida and Horatio would join them. Until then, he and Brixaby planned to get started.
Still holding one edge of the fabric of reality like a heavy curtain, Arthur seated himself on his dragon. Together, they flew through and up into the air of a new kingdom.
The end.
(Until Wednesday)

just recently finished this. I like how your ideas slot seamlessly to the next. A seeker card! and we don't have to see Arthur play politics (which would be the normal route judging by the conflicts in the world so far).

Wednesday was the next day. Where's the start of book 4
Seth
That’s only if he decides to return to his original kingdom. There were originally 7 Mythic dragons and now there are only 5. If Brix finds his other cards, and Arthur his, then they’ll ascend to Mythic level and can(if they choose to) rule over one of the kingdoms that had a Mythic dragon.
Dan
Master of Disguise Master of Mind (he has master of body) Master of Mind will be required to fight the king. His white mythical dragon is hardcore.
Dan
I think there will be a Master Of Disguise or Master of Stealth card.

I stand by my statement it was absolutely shameless And yes, I will buy the book when it comes out I have seven different Patreon accounts, and I buy all the books from those authors when they come out to Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Oh please, be happy you got *one* chapter then. Rae doesnt need this kind of heckling and doesn't owe us chapters. If you want to be owed something, buy the books when they come out in their entirety.

Absolutely brilliant, hope he gets master of magics in this next one, if not the joker card that helps him level up 25% faster and adds 1 class slot per card in set! Also saw someone ask about if Arthur got his set first can he ascend before brixaby...but I'd believe there'd be a prompt asking if he wanted to ascend the cards with a caution of consequences if the cards were linked with missing set pieces

Arthur's mom had the MoS card im 95% sure.

What happen to Joy quest?. Did it complete or not. Btw here are my gueses for the call set. Call of the far, can open a portal to Any there you wanna go in the world, with some condition attache, matches well with call of the heart, call of the mind, help you remember things you need to remember, and a joker. On another note doesnt it seem likely that Arthur mother had the joker card? So what they may be called to is the master of magic?
Michael Hughes
I never considered what it would be like to open a portal to a part of the world where the sun had not set. It was a nice visual. I am excited for book 4.

I'm guessing there are different types of Dragons in different parts of the world. Considering all the Dragons so far have been Chromatic Western Dragons, except the Kings Dragon which appeared to be an Eastern Dragon. I'm wondering if they'll run into new types.

That wasn’t two chapters that was one chapter cut, and half to shamelessly call it two chapters Absolutely shameless

My theory is that the "Master of Mind" card will be created by finishing his mind set (the storage space set).
Arnon Parenti
Could also be Master of Mind, Master of Elements, Master of [specific element], Master of Space, Master of Time, Master of Cards, Master of Truth, Master of the Universe (and he has to call I Have The POWER and raise a sword to use it), Master of Curses, Master of Fortune
Steven Beal
thanks for the chapters

I’m so looking forward to seeing what Brixs other Call cards are gonna be. Arthur’s are pretty easy to deduce, Master of Combat that Penn has, Master of Magic and then the elusive “Joker” card of the set.
Voror
They really should see about getting themselves an actual portal card. Or maybe Master of Magic could help with that too. I could see this journey requiring they locate the rest of the set though that seems a long journey. But it would truly help them. Maybe Arthur can gather together a retinue composed of riders from Kingdoms all over the world.
