Have fun inside, Brix! 🤭

Judah Rininger

Now that I’ve caught up, I guess I have a few questions. 1. Since Brixaby can physically enter Arthur’s storage space and be put in real time, would he be able to mentally or physically recover with that time it does he still feel strain because of the time resistance? 2. How does Brixaby experience time when he’s in Arthur’s personal space, but Arthur isn’t? We know he does because of his resitance, but when Arthur’s in it he’s experiencing the infinite time made for him in it, but is everything real time when Arthur isn’t in it? That feels kind of weird since it’s disconnected from time, but it’s feels like the only reasonable answer. 3. Since Brixaby was able to link with 2 separate cards would that mean he could link with 2 separate people, given they had compatible cards and displayed them in the right way? 4. Since Joy has 2 more heart cards does that mean she’s able to link those as well? 5. Any book recommendations? Not necessarily deck building, I’m just looking for something to tide me over. I really don’t like books that have an overpowered protagonist, but I like progression a lot. I like the balance here where there are a lot of characters who can easily measure up to Arthur and the progression isn’t necessarily combat based. I also love how the conflicts are handled. Success-fests can get kind of boring and seeing Arthur struggle and only sometimes succeeding is nice. For a while I actually thought that someone else was gonna’ get the Legendary and Arthur was gonna need to be patient and manage his expectations, and I really appreciate that this series primed me to expect failure and success and to appreciate the cast because they actually contribute. I guess my point is, thanks for the content and I’m wondering if there any good recommendations you’d have that don’t have bland characters who never have to deal with meaningful conflict and actual competition from friends and foes.

I'm somewhat curious if there are Legendaries in there and if so, how many. I feel like those especially would be quick to be returned, but it feels like we don't know the process on how this works. Dungeon seems like a high access vault of sorts though the fact you can get through it is curious. I don't know about it being the reward necessarily but I wouldn't be surprised if it wound up involved there. It definitely feels like a target, but then I'm not sure on how long this volume is going to be and when we might get back to Wolf Moon if at all.

James Donnelly

If there was a legendary card in there I doubt they would have Brix eat it. I'm also pretty sure that Call of the Heart will be the reward for defeating the mind singer.

Voror

I never expected this would be some feast that leads to Arthur being able to ride him. At best they'll get some very useful cards. Legendary cards would be a surprise and I'm not expecting Call of the Heart to here.

James Donnelly

If they only get 6, Brix will not be able to grow much... unless there is a legendary combat card in there. (Which I doubt)

James Donnelly

Human grenade. Never thought of that. Nice.

Yeah compared to some other rare cards I think a much less restricted metal telekinesis card could still have fit, but he could still potentially do things like detonate an entire shirt of chain mail at once and shred everything around him and then pull a new shirt from his Space

Voror

So it was designed to not be truly winnable with either the numbers killing you or that last second trap making them all potentially backstab each other. Main thing I guess is how exactly does it work from here. Do they get to pick a number of cards matching the number of participants or as many as they want? If the former then that should be 6, but the trick would be figuring out cards that would match each person's strengths. The idea proposed about using Arthur's Personal Space could be a way around this but I wouldn't be surprised if it's designed around such a trick. Joy's quest did say she gets her pick so maybe she'll be the one to go? Hopefully everyone can get some good cards of out this regardless. Also interesting to see some dragons like Laird not being totally on board with how they do things. It honestly just feels a giant status quo that everyone just maintains with nothing really changing though from the sound the Scourge is gradually making more and more progress. A rot as Calvan put it.

Thanks for the chapter!

You are right there is some synergy, I just feel like it will become redundant later and this wastes one of his card slots.

Rubeno

It's a good synergy though as seen as this spell makes heavy use of utility skills like Throwing or crafting (we don't know whether ammunition in itself can be enchanted or maybe there are also magical metal already imbuedbwith magic?). It also underscored cooperation between MC and his blacksmithing obsessed dragon

James Donnelly

Give Joy the net and have her go in to gather all the cards. I trust her the most out of all of them.

Hammy

I agree with OP. Love the chapters but I miss him working on his classes. Heck I would love even an out of chapter note that listed his current stats, cards, classes and skills. Feels like forever since we seen any of that.

Kerickou

They have a few but I agree with OP we really haven’t seen anything class related in some time. I trust the author will give us more with time. We know that once Brixaby reached level 50 in chain mail he needed a class to push it any further. So I trust maybe once this arc is over we will get to see another in depth class development session but I’m not sure.

Steven Beal

thanks for the chapter

I feel like arthur's metal card is just.. weak. And it does not fit with his deck. I get that he wanted a compat power, but he can rely on copying spells and skills and when he finally get one other card of his set, he is set for life. His other cards have such good synergy even if he doesn't use his half of them.

Decide

They're going to shove everyone into Arthur's personal space, aren't they? One person goes in, pull everyone out into the library, and boom, go nuts. I hope Brix's card is in there.

Decide

I think there's a stealth one, too.

Devon P

I like these chapters, but I do miss his classes and skill synergies. If I recall correctly when he got the master of body enhance card it talked about potential classes that combined both but we haven't had anything close since. His only non-basic class is still cooking right?
