🕑 Added 2023-06-30 22:10:19 +0000 UTC"After half a day's travel through the deep and interwoven chambers and interconnecting passages, one may find themselves within the central chamber of Akenhepsut, the Fallen Sybarite, buried alongside his servants.
Such a massive tomb would have been thought to be reserved for someone of the greatest importance, a leader, a king, not one such as he. A glutton and hedonist, his desire for all things that bring pleasure knew no bounds. His life, and the lives of his servants, were dedicated to finding even greater methods of pleasure and indulgence. However, such pleasures often come with a price to pay.
In his collections, he amassed troves of objects of power. Not all these relics were safe, and some wrought dire consequences upon their bearers. Akenhepsut cared not, and his servants often suffered the consequences of these devices. Their remains were buried, each with any number of irremovable items, as if fused to their very bones. The most unlucky of them were no more than unrecognizable monstrosities, changed by the unstable mixture of cursed relics they bore.
Akenhepsut and his servants, scorned by society from their cursed existence, were executed and sealed within the deepest tombs. Before it was sealed, however, the laborers spoke of the remains, possessed by curse after curse, rising on their own. Not as if resurrected, but as if puppets, with their strings pulled in inhuman jerks and twists by the magic that made them outcasts. Their enchantments now rule them, and curses do not die."
