Confluence at the Henge

Tired and with snow sodden boots, they eventually find the merging of the frozen rivers. In the centre of which, on a raised plinth of snow covered rock, an old henge of power sits.
Within the ring of stones half a dozen robed figures can be made out but large hoods hide their faces. Between them a deep chant starts to fill the air as they raise their voices, and with it, a crackle of purple light begins to arc from stone to stone ….”
Hey all,
So, following the frozen river on from the Blizzard at the Oxbows leads to this henge. I envision it perhaps being a druidic circle of power, either used as a portal to the Feywild or who knows what else. Maybe some good old mad cultists have gotten hold of the powerful stones and now try to draw a beast through it to do their bidding.
I’ve attached an ‘activated’ and ‘non-activated’ henge map options for you to use in your games - I thought it would be cool for the players to be in a race against time to stop whatever ritual is being carried out.
